Lakshmi Ganapathy Melbourne based creative


Lakshmi Ganapathy is a Melbourne based creative with experience in theatre and journalism.


She has just completed a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Theatre and Media Studies) at La Trobe University; her time at La Trobe has seen her perform at Melbourne Fringe and La Mama Theatre, report for C31, upstart magazine and Junction Journalism, and travel to the UK and Hong Kong. Lakshmi is a Student Ambassador for La Trobe University and has helped create and present videos for the MyLaTrobe Facebook page.


Outside of university, Lakshmi worked as the Vice-President and MC of the Bayside Film Festival (2018-2019). Passionate about diversity in the arts, she was a mentee in the VCA’s Stage a Change program and a TheatreWorks Ambassador in 2020.


In her spare time, Lakshmi enjoys playing Minecraft and taking photographs of flowers for her Instagram @lakshmilikesflowers

The Culture café of Victoria is a bold artistic house proudly based in the North of Melbourne in the Hume council Municipality on the lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people.

We support local arts and artists to thrive in the ARTS sector. We encourage everyone to participate in the arts by: partnering with a range of local arts organisations through annual grant funding or low-cost leases promoting exciting and interesting arts programs for you to participate in or attend commissioning dynamic and engaging public art for everyone’s enjoyment making it easy for you to organise your own events, by helping you find suitable spaces and applying for permits you need.
